Our link with South Africa began in 1989 during the struggle against Apartied. We began co-operating with the Broken Wall community and sent containers to illegal crèches in the black Townships until Apartied was removed. We have also established a link with St Michael’s Khyalietsha in black township of Cape Town and with the church in Elsie’s River in a coloured area of Cape Town. We regularly take and receive teams from those areas. Our links with South Africa go back to the Apartheid days on 1989 with a visit by Alan and Sandra Bain. Following on we sent out large containers of goods to christian organisations in Khayelitsha township in Cape Town including the Busy Bee Creche.
